Please reach out to us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We have parking right in front of our door!
Please use only the paved parking area and avoid the gravel spaces as they are privately owned. You will need to move your vehicle after your massage. In the rare instance that our lot is full, you can park at the end of Morris St in the school parking lot or anywhere along Main St. If your accommodations are within walking distance of Main St, you can easily walk to Arcadian Massage.
Your massage therapist handles everything from check-in to check-out. We ask that you only arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment to discuss any health conditions and your goals for your massage. If you arrive more than 15 minutes early, the door may be locked to prevent disruption to the client before you. We honor your scheduled appointment time, so late arrivals will result in abbreviated massage time.
When scheduled in advance, we do our best to accommodate couples massages. In the case that both therapists are not available on your preferred day, we welcome you to schedule consecutive appointments and use the downtime to rest in our waiting room or walk a few steps to Main St. You will find plenty of shopping, coffee, ice cream etc. and benches in the park to take in the fresh mountain air!
We are happy to coordinate consecutive appointments for groups. Members of your group can rotate in for massages as you shop and dine downtown throughout the day. We have hosted a group of up to 5 this way. The earlier notice you give us, the more options we can offer.
Your comfort is our priority. You will undress to your level of comfort for your massage and your modesty will be maintained throughout using careful draping of our luxury spa sheets and coverlet. You are welcome to remove all undergarments or keep them on. If you aren't comfortable undressing at all, we can use pressure over your clothes and incorporate stretching.
When you arrive, your therapist will discuss any health conditions and the primary goals/complaints you put on your intake form. You will be taken to the treatment room (see the about us page for a pic) where your therapist will explain where to put your personal belongings and how to lie on the massage table. The therapist will then exit the room while you undress, lie down, and cover yourself. Your therapist will ask if you are ready before re-entering the room. During your massage, one area of your body will be undraped at a time and the linens will be carefully tucked so that your modesty is maintained. Massage oil will be applied and various techniques from long strokes to steady pressure, gentle stretches, and passive range of motion will be performed to target key areas of tension and reduced mobility. You are encouraged to voice any concerns or modifications needed throughout your massage. If you need more or less pressure applied, or would like your therapist to discontinue work in a particular area, for instance. You should feel comfortable throughout and are welcome to remain quiet, fall asleep, or talk to your therapist if you prefer. Feel free to ask any questions at any time!
A thousand times NO. Licensed massage therapists should never be mistaken for sex workers. We have zero tolerance for any insinuation of such activity at Arcadian Massage.
